About CBD Oils

There is a growing worldwide appreciation of the many and myriad health benefits that CBD (Cannabidiol) oil can potentially provide.

So, it’s no surprise that medical scientists are continually adding to their understanding of its applications and effects. We have already mentioned that products formulated from high-quality CBD can provide relief from acne, ADHD, and various other issues. However, many studies are underway to exploit further how CBD interacts with the body’s natural chemicals and physiological processes.

Where can you find information about the ways CBD can help people medically? Right here!

The team at Hemp Futures – especially CEO Steve Wyatt – is keen to share our continuously updated insights, including essential explanations about how CBD oil eases both the symptoms of common medical issues, including PTSD, Parkinson’s Disease, Asthma, Tuberculosis, and MS.

High Quality medicinal CBD Oil

It’s worth a reminder that the type of CBD we discuss concerning boosting health and well-being is crucial.

Whatever form of CBD product you buy from us is from a hemp strain explicitly selected for its excellent medicinal properties. It is also cultivated in a certified organic way and processed carefully at a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified site.

This level of care and control ensures that our CBD oil is rich in the properties that make it advantageous in treating various medical conditions without containing any of the unnecessary elements that have given cannabis products a recreational emphasis!

Who can benefit from CBD oil?

Many people (and animals) can benefit from using CBD oil products. Different uses for CBD oil depending on the product’s concentration, such as 1%, 5%, 10%, and higher.

We offer CBD oils suitable for human consumption, of 5% and 10% strength, and will be soon launching CBD Oil 1%, commonly used for animals including dogs, cats, and horses.

Some humans may also wish to use a much lighter dose, and our CBD Oil, 5% offer, is the lowest concentration we sell that is suitable for human consumption.

Suppose you are looking for CBD oil for humans. In that case, choosing a brand, you can trust to provide you with high-quality CBD Oil is important, primarily to ensure that you are consuming an accurate dose of CBD oil for your needs and making sure you are using a quality product. At Hemp Futures, we create two CBD oil products for human consumption: CBD Oil 5% and CBD Oil 10%

We always recommend starting with a lower concentration and dosage and then adjusting this to suit your needs. The effects of CBD oil are dependent on many variables, such as weight, height, health, diet, and sensitivity. All of these factors might affect how you choose your dosage and concentration.

Use CBD Oil 5% and CBD Oil 10% to treat and manage a broad range of issues, including stress and anxiety, depression, acne and skin problems, ADHD, inflammation, arthritis, bipolar disorder, and diabetes.

However, using CBD Oil 1% for dogs, cats, and horses is also standard. CBD oil’s main difference for humans and CBD oil for animals and pets is the difference in dosage. Typically, pets will be much smaller than their owners, so they may not require intense concentration to obtain the same benefits. CBD hemp oil products can benefit animals in several ways.

Studies have demonstrated that CBD oil may help to manage different types of anxiety in dogs and treat bacterial infections in both cats and dogs. Similarly, studies support that CBD can be a useful pain reliever for pets. In 2018, Cornell University researched dogs that suffer from chronic pain.

The research concluded that CBD oil reduced pain associated with osteoarthritis in dogs when given CBD twice daily. CBD oil has also been researched for its effects in managing cancer symptoms in animals and assisting in wound healing.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil (cannabidiol) is a popular natural remedy used by people all over the world. It comes from hemp plants that have been specifically bred for nutritional purposes and then added to a carrier oil to create CBD oil for human consumption or consumption by animals such as cats, dogs, or horses.
CBD oil is extracted from the cannabis plant and then added to a carrier oil – typically coconut oil or hemp seed oil. The flower and leaves and sometimes the stalk and stems are extracted into CBD crude oil and further refined into a CBD distillate oil suitable for human and animal consumption.

CBD is just one of more than 100 chemical compounds called ‘cannabinoids’ found in cannabis or marijuana plants. A cannabinoid is a substance formed in the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant. While many cannabinoids are controlled substances, CBD is not psychoactive.

At Hemp Futures, we use the FINOLA hemp strain, an industrial hemp strain approved by the EU for engineering CBD products for human consumption and sale. Our CBD oil is standardized to contain less than 0.01% THC, a level well below the amount considered to result in any psychoactive effect. It is also proven to be non-addictive.

Understanding the difference between CBD and THC is essential when choosing CBD oil as a complementary treatment. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a psychoactive cannabinoid found in some cannabis strains that creates the intoxication effect.

However, CBD and CBD oil do not cause this effect as they do not contain psychoactive cannabinoids. As a result, many people buy CBD hemp oil to use as part of their daily life, with no side effects. Scientific studies have confirmed that CBD oil users can experience relief from pain and anxiety, and other positive benefits, without experiencing the psychoactive effects of using marijuana and other THC pharmaceutical products.

Some people also ask whether CBD oil is medical cannabis. CBD oil is not the same as medical cannabis. Medical cannabis refers to cannabis, often containing THC, which has been prescribed by a medical professional. Medical cannabis may only be prescribed by a medical professional when other conventional methods have been exhausted.

What are the benefits of CBD oil?

Many scientific studies have demonstrated the benefits of CBD oil products. From pain management to a reduction in stress, CBD oil benefits different users in various ways. CBD’s effect on the body’s endocannabinoid system, which affects many parts of the body and mind, effectively mitigates and manages the impact of many conditions.

One of CBD oil’s chief medicinal properties may lie in pain relief. According to several studies, CBD oil can help reduce chronic pain in humans and animals by impacting endocannabinoid receptor activity.

CBD also reduces inflammation and interacts with neurotransmitters. Inflammation underpins many chronic diseases, and CBD oil’s ability to help control this makes it of great potential use in the medical field. Specifically, scientists have focused on using CBD oil to treat pain associated with multiple sclerosis and arthritis.

Studies on how CBD can help support heart health by lowering blood pressure, preventing diabetes and heart damage, and easing symptoms related to epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease have taken place.

Research on CBD oil’s benefits for its potential to slow the progress of age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and glaucoma yielded positive results.

However, the link between CBD oil and inflammation means CBD oil can treat many more widespread concerns people experience. For instance, studies have found that CBD oil supports acne’s improvement thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to reduce sebum production.

Asthma is another common disease, affecting 339.4 million people across the world. Though evidence is so far anecdotal, many users report that CBD oil has helped improve their breathing, possibly supporting a reduction in airway inflammation.

Another rich area of scientific interest is in CBD oil properties to help improve many mental health diseases by regulating the interaction between chemicals in the brain and mood. Several animal studies show that CBD can have effects similar to antidepressants.

A 2018 review of existing studies on CBD and depression also concluded that CBD products could reduce stress-effects, which may positively impact those suffering depression due to stress. Furthermore, there have been many small-scale studies on animals concerning the relation between CBD oil and the relief of PTSD symptoms, particularly regarding improving sleep quality.

CBD may also play a part in protecting the brain from damage and in supporting neurotransmitter function. The current belief is CBD oil can mitigate the effects of bipolar disorder and help maintain a more stable mood throughout the day.

Many people use CBD oil for treating ADHD, triggering the body to use more of its naturally produced cannabinoids, which can have benefits such as reduced hyperactivity.

But the benefits of CBD oil do not end there, as these afflictions can also affect animals. Animals can suffer from stress and anxiety due to separation, noises, travel, or other specific experiences. CBD oil has shown promise in lowering animal anxiety. All animals have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) similar to humans that regulates the nervous and immune systems. CBD oils can bind to the ECS receptors, which helps control some physiological processes, including mood.

CBD oil can also impact the ECS to improve pain management for animals. CBD oil can support an animal’s immune system, helping reduce pain caused by arthritis, skin irritations, and other conditions caused by inflammation.

There is still plenty of research into CBD oil uses and CBD oil products’ medical benefits. The medical world is hopeful of how CBD oil properties could benefit people and animals’ physical and mental health.

CBD oils benefits for treating PTSD

Let’s start our exploration of the connection between health and CBD by looking at the recommendation to use CBD Oil for treating PTSD.

CBD’s ways of boosting mental health – and notably, how this substance alleviates depression and anxiety – have been studied for many years, including the reasons to use CBD oil for PTSD.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a severe and debilitating mental health condition. PTSD is often associated with people who have served in the military or emergency services and have been deeply affected by the painful incidents they have witnessed. Alternative terms include being ‘shell shocked’.

PTSD can happen to anyone, as it refers to a reduced ability to process the horror, fear, or helplessness that arises from trauma. The sources can be everything from prolonged bullying or childhood neglect to bereavement and miscarriages.

According to PTSD UK: “around 70% of people who suffer from PTSD in the UK do not receive any professional help at all.”

The lack of professional help is why there is so much interest in CBD Oil for reducing PTSD effects. Psychotherapy interventions are often needed to help sufferers address the root cause. However, relaxing therapies are beneficial in alleviating the hypervigilance associated with PTSD. When using CBD oil to treat PTSD, it can assist in relaxing, both mentally and physically.

In 2019, one of the first studies on how to tackle PTSD with CBD oil products concluded that it could reduce general symptoms when using CBD oil in conjunction with routine psychiatric care. “CBD also appeared to offer relief in a subset of patients who reported frequent nightmares as a symptom of their PTSD.”

In June 2020, the findings of a study by Washington State University (reported in the Journal of Affective Disorders) supported this earlier hypothesis. It found that if you were to treat PTSD with CBD oil, you could reduce symptoms by as much as 50% or more. The study included significantly alleviating returning thoughts of the trauma, flashbacks, and symptoms like irritability and anxiety.

It is important to note, though, that the effects of using CBD oil on PTSD may not be permanent. Regular doses of organic, expertly processed CBD oil may be needed to sustain the positive impact.

Further research is underway into how CBD interacts with PTSD symptomology.

CBD oils benefits for treating Parkinson’s Disease

As CBD appears to have such a positive impact on the brain, are there reasons to use CBD Oil for treating Parkinson’s Disease?

The Parkinson’s UK charity reports promising results from early studies into CBD Oil treatment for Parkinson’s Disease. This body is investing in developing treatment protocols using this substance. Parkinson’s UK reports: “In a world-first clinical trial, Professor Sagnik Bhattacharyya and Dr. Latha Velayudhan at Kings College London (KCL) will be testing whether cannabidiol (CBD) can treat Parkinson’s psychosis symptoms.”

Meanwhile, there are plenty of anecdotal reports about the benefits of CBD Oil for Parkinson’s Disease. Mainly, charities such as this UK organization are keen to establish the connection between cannabinoids and neurological improvements.

The causes of Parkinson’s disease have yet to be fully understood. Parkinson’s disease is connected to an inability to produce sufficient amounts of the chemical dopamine due to nerve cell degeneration. This progressive neurological condition currently affects around ten million people worldwide. These are people of all races, though they are primarily aged over 60.

Symptoms vary from person to person but often include tremors, muscle rigidity, and slowness of movement. Though Parkinson’s is life-altering, not life-threatening, this disease’s effects will worsen over time, making it vital to find natural ways to alleviate the symptoms.

The current thinking is that using CBD oil to tackle the effects of Parkinson’s Disease can help boost neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers that control movement across your whole body.

A January 2020 report in the Journal of Psychopharmacology outlined a study’s findings into how you can treat Parkinson’s Disease with CBD oil products to improve anxiety and tremors when speaking in public.

This study confirmed CBD oils’ benefits in treating Parkinson’s Disease as both anxiety and muscle tremors declined. These findings and other evidence in favor of CBD will undoubtedly inspire further research into how this naturally produced substance can alleviate Parkinson’s Disease symptoms.

CBD oil can play an essential role in improving some people’s ability to ‘live well’ with this long-term medical condition.

CBD oils benefits for treating Asthma

Researchers are focused on cannabidiol’s ability to relax muscles, as clear evidence shows that you can treat asthma with CBD oil products.

It appears that regular use of CBD oil for treating asthma brings a wide range of important benefits to some sufferers. The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that over 339 million people have asthma and refers to it as “the most common chronic disease among children worldwide.”

Swelling and narrowing in the airway tubes to and from the lungs cause breathing difficulties. It can be triggered by the environment – such as dust or pollen – or by exercise. It can be fatal, and WHO reports: “Treatment and effective asthma management saves lives.”

So why the growing interest in CBD oil treatment for asthma?

Interest in CBD treatment stems from numerous anecdotal reports that the non-intoxicating forms of cannabis can relieve bronchospasms.

Bronchospasms are the rapid and involuntary contractions in lung muscles that are the precursor to breathing difficulties.

CBD works similar to an asthma inhalator. It relaxes the muscles within your breathing tubes and potentially provides both short and long-term relief.

CBD oil for asthma also shows early promise due to this natural substance’s ability to relieve inflammation.

Also, using CBD oil to tackle asthma links to its potential to alleviate anxiety. Someone stressed and anxious could inadvertently worsen their ability to breathe. The anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) properties of CBD oil are one of the main reasons it is a source of so much mainstream medical interest.

The ability to alleviate anxiety could be one of the benefits of CBD oils in treating asthma.

As with the other medical issues covered in this overview of health and CBD, you must keep your doctor informed of any new way you plan to treat your asthma, including using CBD products. Also, the long term benefits look highly promising, but different forms of treatment suit different people!

The UK’s NHS already prescribes forms of medical cannabis for such health issues as severe forms of epilepsy, the side effects of chemotherapy, and multiple sclerosis spasms and seizures. It will be interesting to see if asthma is added to that list soon.

CBD oils benefits for treating Tuberculosis

There is a misconception about the eradication of tuberculosis. It is still a significant and enduring health problem in some countries, despite being preventable.

The highly infectious ‘Mycobacterium tuberculosis causes it’. It results in a deterioration in the lungs (though it can affect other parts of the body) and presents as coughing, fever, chest pain, fatigue, and weight loss.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) runs numerous programs to address this health problem in developing nations (often referred to by the abbreviation TB). That’s because “1.5 million people die from TB each year – making it the world’s top infectious killer”, according to WHO.

For some of those countries, there is a reliance on CBD oil for treating tuberculosis that dates back a long time! A 2013 study sought to document “medicinal plants used for the treatment of tuberculosis (TB) by the Bapedi traditional healers in three districts of the Limpopo Province, South Africa”, including cannabis plants. It concluded that the results: “strengthen the firm belief that traditional medicines are readily accessible and still play an important role in meeting the basic health care of many people in developing countries”, particularly as using these natural compounds is so cheap and accessible!

There are other interests in CBD oil treatment for tuberculosis. The United Nations is another highly respected global body investing in exploring how ‘folk’ medicines can inform modern treatment protocols, and includes CBD oil for tuberculosis in its thorough report on ‘Cannabis as a medicament‘.

The reasons for such interest in CBD oil to tackle tuberculosis are how it appears to tackle asthma. It acts as a muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory, potentially helping people with TB to breathe more easily while they fight the infection.

However, there is also interest in seeing how CBD’s anti-bacteria properties pave the way to treat tuberculosis with CBD oil products more often. This includes studies into the benefits of CBD oils in treating tuberculosis and the likelihood of it preventing TB in the first place!

It is important to note here that smoking recreational forms of cannabis is not the same as taking carefully cultivated and organic forms of CBD for oil. There is concern that the former can actually worsen lung conditions such as TB, though medical scientists are keen to explore ways pure CBD can be of genuine benefit.

CBD oils benefits for treating multiple sclerosis (MS)

One of the most widely discussed and researched CBD medical applications is using CBD oil to tackle multiple sclerosis (MS).

MS is a chronic and progressive disease, which involves a person’s immune system wrongly attacking the myelin sheath of nerve cell fibers. This fatty coating protects the nerves. The cause is a mystery, and how each individual is affected varies. However, this progressive neurological disorder can manifest as periods of remittance and relapse and involves even stabilized or worsening symptoms, including difficulty walking, cognitive and digestive issues, reduced vision, stiffness, and muscle spasms.

Not surprisingly then, MS treatments that work are much sought after to relieve the symptoms and allow people with this condition to live independently and well as possible, which has led to growing interest in using CBD oil for treating MS.

In a 2017 survey, the USA’s National Multiple Sclerosis Society found that 66% of MS patients were already using cannabis-based products to relieve their symptoms. The year before, a Canadian survey had found that 50% of people with multiple sclerosis would consider using legal forms of cannabis derivatives.

An extensive research project published in the British Journal of Pharmacology in 2010 attempted to explain how CBD interacted with the body’s endocannabinoid system. The interaction with CBD helps manage neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, and MS. It concluded that the benefits of using CBD oil for MS ‘showed promise’.

This sort of validation for treating MS with CBD oil products – is now becoming mainstream. In several European countries – including the UK – a form a CBD is prescribed for MS spasm and stiffness relief. The FDA in the US is conducting clinical trials also to approve this protocol.

More investigation by medical scientists is needed, and underway, to verify why CBD oil treatment for MS is a good idea. Meanwhile, under advisement from their medical professional, many people find out for themselves the benefits of CBD oils in treating MS to relieve muscle spasms and gain greater mobility.

There is anecdotal evidence that for some people, CBD oil offers significant advantages in managing other neurological diseases that impair muscles or cause ‘spasticity’ too.

This exciting field of research appears set to find new uses for pure and well-regulated CBD products soon.

CBD oil benefits for treating Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition characterized by chronic pain, with some linked symptoms being chronic fatigue, muscle stiffness, IBS, and increased pain sensitivity. Because it currently has no cure and is considered a ‘hard to treat’ condition, fibromyalgia requires specific treatments tailored to a person’s needs.

Finding the right solutions can often feel like a frustrating and daunting journey.

As it happens, there are many benefits of CBD oil in treating fibromyalgia, and it is growing as a complementary, cost-effective, and necessary treatment to many who have it. An experimental 2019 study that aimed to understand the analgesic effects of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis in patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia recorded that patients experienced “a decrease in spontaneous pain by 30%” when treated with high doses of CBD and THC combined.

Research suggests CBD can reduce chronic pain by counteracting hypersensitive cells surrounding nerves in patients, specifically those with fibromyalgia. Even better, it may also have anti-inflammatory properties that benefit chronic pain conditions and conditions like IBS, which many people diagnosed with fibromyalgia also suffer.

But how can you use CBD oil to tackle fibromyalgia? Well, CBD oil treatment for fibromyalgia patients is found to be most effective when ingested in concentrated forms. You can treat fibromyalgia with CBD oil products such as tea, oil, or when applied topically as an analgesic.

When ingested as a tea, CBD is a regular and longer-term treatment that can be easily incorporated into a daily routine to provide slow-release and effective pain relief. In addition to this, CBD has been indicated to remedy sleep problems, impacting a person with fibromyalgia effectively. Tea is already associated with calming and holistic properties, making CBD tea an excellent night-time treatment.

Using CBD oil for fibromyalgia topically can target specific pain points and is an excellent responsive treatment to help alleviate flare-ups and pain when on the go.

The inhalation of CBD oil for treating fibromyalgia is also commonly used, particularly by patients in the USA and countries where cannabis is legalized. Recent studies show that vaporizing the cannabis flower can result in noticeable therapeutic advantages, and its effects are equal, if not better, than when ingested orally.

CBD Oils cancer fighting properties

There is currently a lot of interest in how cannabinoids may affect and even treat cancer. Some laboratory research shows that certain cannabinoids can cause a cell to die, stop cells from developing new blood vessels, and stop cells from dividing.

When it comes to the use of CBD oils in cancer treatment, research is always happening. The popularity of more holistic and complementary therapies to necessary yet invasive cancer treatments continues to rise. Whether cannabis or CBD oil can actively treat cancer or have anti-cancer effects is yet to be determined.

CBD proves to be an excellent complementary cancer treatment that can help with symptoms resulting from cancer. Furthermore, CBD can help in reducing pain, nausea, and vomiting effects caused by chemotherapy treatment.

In a recent study, evidence suggests that CBD oil can alleviate side effects of cancer treatment i.e. chemotherapy, by minimizing neuropathic pain (this is a type of agony caused by a lesion or disease of the somatosensory nervous system).

In this same study, research also points towards CBD oil, giving patients undergoing cancer treatment improved sleep quality. An increase in sleep quality is acutely vital to cancer patients, as quality sleep can potentially reduce stress and promote healing through anti-cancer therapies.

In the last decade, several studies suggest CBD oil can help reduce symptoms related to cancer, with other notable effects being a noticeable improvement in hair loss and inflammation in post-chemo patients, due to CBD’s analgesic properties.

CBD has a known ability to positively help support superficial tissues, such as the scalp, return to normal.

Chemotherapy is renowned for its destruction of these superficial tissues, and CBD oil may help patients achieve accelerated nail, skin, hair, and even bowel tissue regrowth following intensive treatment plans.

CBD oil can be particularly appealing due to its mild side effects, short and long-term use suitability, and homeopathic tendency. For people looking to access CBD as a complementary treatment for cancer, it is useful in many forms, including ingestion through smoking, vaping, eating, and drinking.

It may also be effective when used topically for soothing and alleviating specific side effects of chemotherapy. By combining CBD into your treatment, you may achieve a complete pain-relief treatment plan and adaptable solutions to your needs.

All of our CBD oil comes from organic, individually hand sowing, maintained, and harvested hemp plants. We are always looking for new and innovative ways to improve CBD oil creation standards for the highest-quality CBD oil that is at the forefront of the market.

CBD oil benefits for reducing anxiety & stress

Anxiety disorders are one of the most prevalent medical conditions. The symptoms of anxiety disorders differ from person to person but can significantly impact the ability of the sufferer to carry out their daily life.

However, there is some hope surrounding a method to treat anxiety and stress with CBD oil.

CBD oil for stress can support humans in resolving, reducing, and treating anxiety and its effects. A study published in The Permanente Journal reported that 79% of participants using CBD experienced a reduction in their anxiety. As a result, many of those working in mental health have begun to advocate for CBD oil to reduce stress.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has stated that CBD reduces stress in animals such as rats, and as a result, may be useful in treating Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). The study’s subjects showed lower behavioral signs of anxiety, and physical symptoms of stress, such as increased heart rate, also improved.

A study conducted in 2011 looked at CBD’s effects on people who suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD). Participants in the study received 400mg of CBD (slightly lower than our 5% concentration) or a placebo dose. The participants who received the CBD demonstrated reduced anxiety levels overall versus the placebo group.

Recent studies have further indicated that CBD oil may help those who have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), including relieving symptoms such as insomnia and replaying negative memories

These studies looked at CBD as a treatment on its own and also its effectiveness when combined with other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

In a 2019 study, researchers determined that 300–600 mg of CBD reduced the symptoms of anxiety significantly in 57 adult males

If you would like to reduce stress and anxiety with CBD oil products, consider Hemp Futures. Our CBD Oil 5% and CBD Oil 10% concentration may be suitable if you deem CBD oil to reduce anxiety symptoms.

CBD oils benefits for reducing depression

If you are looking to reduce depression with CBD oil products, Hemp Futures can help.

Some experts believe that CBD can benefit those suffering from depression due to the compound’s effects on the brain’s serotonin receptors.

Humans suffer from depression as a result of low serotonin.

CBD oil taken for depression does not always increase serotonin levels in the brain; it may affect how the chemical receptors in the brain respond to serotonin that is already present. In an animal study carried out in 2014, research showed that CBD could affect the brain’s chemical receptors causing an antidepressant and anti-anxiety effect.

More recently, a 2018 review of existing studies on CBD and depression concluded that CBD reduces stress-effects, which may positively impact those suffering depression as a result of stress. These studies are highly significant when it comes to the potential of CBD oil for treating depression.

Research on CBD oil use for reducing depression is ongoing, with additional research published every year. Researchers are working to understand better how to treat depression with CBD oil and how to use it most effectively.

One of the concerns with traditional pharmaceutical antidepressants is that they typically take weeks to start working. However, a 2019 study on animals revealed that CBD has a quick, effective, and sustained antidepressant effect.

Also, CBD oil used to reduce depression may present fewer side effects than antidepressant medications for some users. Typically, those using antidepressant medications can suffer from side effects such as agitation, mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and insomnia. CBD use does not usually cause these issues.

Many people who suffer from depression also suffer from anxiety symptoms, as anxiety and low serotonin levels are linked. The effect of CBD oil on serotonin receptors may affect both anxiety and depression.

One study found that those who took 600 milligrams (mg) of CBD suffered significantly less social anxiety than people given a placebo.

If you are interested in using CBD oil to treat depression, you may benefit from the therapeutic effect of our CBD Oil 5% and CDB Oil 10% concentration.

CBD oils benefits for ADHD

There is evidence to suggest that CBD oil may help users manage symptoms of ADHD. ADHD is a condition that causes impaired attention and inhibition and difficulty focusing and functioning. One 2016 study which looked at the relationship between ADHD, depression, and marijuana use found that many students use marijuana to help them deal with depression and ADHD symptoms.

Furthermore, a 2013 study looking at ADHD subtypes and cannabis suggested that CBD use could mitigate ADHD symptoms. After surveying 2,211 cannabis users, the study found that those who used cannabis regularly reported hyperactivity symptoms on the days they did not use cannabis praoducts.

In the study ‘Cannabinoids in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder: A randomized-controlled trial’, a small sample of people with ADHD received a trial CBD medication.

After receiving CBD, the researchers assessed the participants to see if the medication had any effect on symptoms and administered a standardized test. The study found some improvement in cognitive function, symptom reduction, and a small improvement in impulsivity and hyperactivity.

When you consume CBD oil to improve ADHD, the active compounds in the oil work with two receptors in the body, cannabinoid receptors, both type 1 (CB1) and type 2 (CB2), directly impact different parts of your body.

CB1 is primarily abundant in the brain, and when you use CBD oil for treating ADHD, your body is triggered to use more of its naturally produced cannabinoids. Using more of the cannabinoids naturally produced in your brain can have benefits such as reduced hyperactivity, and as a result, some people use CBD oil for reducing ADHD effects.

If you are looking to treat ADHD with CBD oil, you want to ensure you have the right dosage and concentration and that the CBD oil you use is of the highest quality.

We sell two concentrations of CBD oil, which may be suitable to help manage the symptoms of ADHD – CBD Oil 5% and CBD Oil 10%. The right oil concentration that is for you will depend on whether you have used CBD before, as well as your sensitivity and the severity of your symptoms.

We would always recommend starting with a lower dose of CBD oil for ADHD and adjusting as you begin to understand better the product’s effects on you and your symptoms.

CBD oils benefits for treating acne

Acne is the most common skin concern found in humans, with around 90% of people suffering from acne at some point in their lives.

Acne is a condition caused by the buildup of excess oil, dirt, and dead skin cells, which block the skin’s pores. Sebum is a vital substance that protects our skin from external pollutants and irritants, but when produced in excess and mixed with dirt and dead skin cells, it can cause havoc within our pores, causing acne.

Bacteria builds up within the skin’s pores, resulting in red blemishes that are often annoying and painful. An essential step in treating acne is to ensure the skin is kept clean and that the bacteria that causes acne is minimal.  Taking steps to minimize excess oil can also improve symptoms of the condition. There is much research around the use of CBD oil for treating acne. Typically research focuses on the use of CBD to stop the processes that cause acne, including where the skin produces excess oil.

Research published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation studied the effects of CBD compounds on human oil-producing glands and skin samples. The study concluded that CBD minimized oil production and had an anti-inflammatory effect on the oil-producing glands. The study determined that CBD could be a “promising therapeutic agent” for treating acne.

As a result, many people find they can reduce acne effects with CBD oil. There is also some evidence to suggest that you can use CBD oil to treat acne, the meaning of which may vary slightly in each case, based on what kind of acne a person has and what is causing it.

CBD oil can reduce several acne types as it affects how the human body creates the oily, waxy substance, which is often the cause of acne, sebum.

Of course, there are other causes of acne, including hormonal imbalances, diet, stress, and medications. However, the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD oil can prevent inflammatory cytokines from activating.

Cytokines can often trigger acne, so using CBD oil for acne could prevent breakouts.

A further 2016 review of the cannabis plant outlined the antibacterial and antifungal effects of the plant. Such properties could reduce infection from dirt, pollutants, and sores on the skin caused by acne.

If you are considering CBD oil for reducing acne, consider Hemp Futures. Our CBD Oil 5% and CDB Oil 10% concentration might help. Learn more on how to take CBD here.

CBD oils benefits for treating arthritis

Arthritis is a pervasive problem and is the leading cause of disability in the United States. The symptoms of arthritis can have an immense impact on the quality of life, and so many look to the benefits of CBD oil in treating arthritis to help them manage their pain.

There are two types of arthritis: osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Osteoarthritis is what is known as a degenerative condition that affects the bones and joint cartilage. Typically the condition causes pain and stiffness affecting the knee, hip, and thumb joints.

On the other hand, rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition. With rheumatoid arthritis, the immune system attacks the joints, which causes inflammation. Typically, rheumatoid arthritis affects the feet and hands, leading to swollen, painful, and stiff joints. Thankfully, there is some hope to suggest a link between CBD oil and arthritis pain relief.

The Arthritis Foundation has presented anecdotal evidence from those who have arthritis to suggest that some people who use CBD experience noticeable pain relief, reduced anxiety, and improved sleep.

Several animal studies have demonstrated the benefits of CBD oils in treating arthritis and treating the pain associated with arthritis. A study carried out in 2017 concluded that CBD might be a useful and safe treatment for osteoarthritis joint pain.

A 2016 study discovered that CBD oil’s topical application for arthritis could relieve pain and inflammation associated with the condition, suggesting that CBD oil to tackle arthritis is useful when applied topically to the area of pain.

Furthermore, a 2014 review of research into CBD oil effects for treating arthritis on animals determined that CBD could be an effective treatment for osteoarthritis.

Findings in this area have been very encouraging, and along with the anecdotal evidence presented by the Arthritis Foundation, many people choose to treat arthritis with CBD oil. If you are looking to treat arthritis with CBD oil products, our high-quality CBD oils may help. Both our CBD Oil 5% and CBD Oil 10% concentration CBD oil originates from one of the leading hemp strains for effectiveness and may help you manage and mitigate arthritis symptoms.

CBD oils benefits for treating bipolar disorder

Bipolar disorder is a condition that affects around 0.4% and 1.6% of the world’s population – 70 million people worldwide – to different degrees.

Bipolar disorder is characterized by a shift in mood, energy, and difficulty with focus.

Neurotransmitters in the brain, such as serotonin, dopamine, GABA, glutamate, naturally interact and fluctuate throughout the day to regulate mood. However, in people living with bipolar disorder, these fluctuations are severe. They can cause shifts in mood that make it challenging for them to carry out everyday activities and interact socially with others.

There are many pharmaceutical medications available for the treatment of bipolar disorder; however, they often come with many undesirable side effects or are ineffective in helping people manage their symptoms. Thus, using CBD oil for treating bipolar disorder may be beneficial.

Several studies demonstrate that CBD can protect the brain from damage and, when taken regularly, can support neurotransmitter function. As a result, many people choose to treat bipolar disorder with CBD oil products.

CBD oil treatment for bipolar disorder is not new and has been going on for many years. Underway is a clinical trial into the long-term effects of CBD use on those diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The trial has entered phase two, which means it has demonstrated safety and success at the first stage.

Considering the use of CBD oil for bipolar disorder can relieve the common side effects of this illness, including anxiety. It may also help those who have insomnia. Similarly, as a result of CBD oil’s impact on neurotransmitter function, it can help stabilize mood and improve feelings of depression.

Using CBD oil to tackle bipolar disorder also helps regulate the endocannabinoid system, which potentially causes bipolar disorder.

When choosing CBD oil to treat bipolar disorder, you must choose a high-quality product from a brand you trust. Both our CBD Oil 5% and CBD oil 10% are suitable for human consumption and as a method of managing the symptoms associated with bipolar disorder.

If you are wondering whether you could treat bipolar disorder with CBD oil products, we are always happy to discuss how our products might help you.

CBD oils benefits for treating diabetes

If you wonder whether you can treat diabetes with CBD oil products, then there is some hopeful news. CBD oils are a popular choice for many who have diabetes.

Diabetes is a condition that causes inflammation, and CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, which could help mitigate some diabetes symptoms. Furthermore, in research studies, CBD has demonstrated the potential to reduce insulin resistance and moderate blood sugars for those with type 2 diabetes who do not take insulin. A CBD oil treatment for diabetes is, therefore, giving the medical community something to consider.

The endocannabinoid system in the human body plays an essential part in the regulation of energy metabolism. Data suggests that “the endocannabinoid system sets the sensitivity of the insulin response in adipocytes.” In plain language,  our endocannabinoid system is important in affecting how our bodies respond to insulin and increase or decrease insulin sensitivity.

Understanding The endocannabinoid system’s role in regulating insulin sensitivity is critical for those who are taking insulin, and the benefits of CBD for treating diabetes-related health concerns can be increased control over blood sugar and reduced inflammation.

This information is favorable for many looking at whether CBD oil to tackle diabetes could be useful.

A 2016 study from the University of Nottingham demonstrated that CBD, combined with another cannabis compound called tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), helped lower blood sugar levels and increase insulin production with type 2 diabetics.

CBD oil for treating diabetes might be a way off, but you can use it to support a healthy lifestyle. If you are eager to explore CBD oils’ possible benefits in treating diabetes, browse our CBD oil for diabetes concentrations today.

CBD oils benefits for treating inflammation

If you are looking for CBD oil for treating inflammation, we can help. Inflammation can cause many problems in humans and animals, but managing inflammation can significantly improve numerous conditions and symptoms. CBD oil treatment for inflammation is just one area currently undergoing research.

Inflammation is a natural protective response in the body when the body suffers harm somehow, and there are two types of inflammation: chronic and acute.

Acute inflammation is the type of inflammation that occurs after an injury, illness, or infection. When the body suffers harm in these ways, the immune system releases cells to protect the area, which causes redness and swelling.

On the other hand, chronic inflammation describes a long-term disease in the body. Chronic inflammation can have a severe impact on the body, impacting tissue and organs.

Inflammation is a symptom of many diseases, including autoimmune disorders, cancer, asthma, and diabetes. Stress factors such as smoking, stress, or obesity can cause chronic inflammation. Many studies have proven that CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, making CBD oil for inflammation reduction an excellent treatment for chronic and acute inflammation.

A 2015 review published in Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry looked at the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD. The study discovered that CBD reduces inflammation through multiple pathways in the body. It concluded that CBD is an effective potential treatment for a range of conditions that involve inflammation.

study conducted in 2016, published in the Clinical Hemorheology and Microcirculation Journal, analyzed CBD as a treatment for pancreatic inflammation in mice with diabetes. Pancreatic inflammation can cause diabetes due to an invasion of immune cells that can destroy cells producing insulin. The study mice received ten weeks of CBD and developed diabetes later than the mice in the study that did not receive CBD treatment.

Furthermore, a 2017 study published in the journal Pain looked at the effects of CBD in male rats suffering from osteoarthritis. After two weeks into the study, the CBD treatment reduced joint inflammation in the rats when applied locally to the affected area. As a result, CBD oil to relieve inflammation is now a viable and popular option, and many people with a variety of conditions treat inflammation with CBD oil products.

If you would like to try the reported benefits of CBD oils in treating inflammation, you can have faith in our organic EU certified CBD oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does CBD Oil do?

Let’s start with the basics. What what does CBD oil mean?

CBD means Cannabidiol and it is one of the most active ingredients of cannabis next to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Unlike cannabis, CBD does not contain THC and is derived from the hemp plant, rather than the marijuana plant. CBD can actually be found in both the marijuana plant and the hemp plant, but when extracted from hemp, you will not find any THC. Usually, when CBD is extracted from hemp, it is blended with a carrier oil to make a tincture.

Perhaps the most important difference to know between THC and CBD is that CBD will not create a ‘high’ or ‘stoned’ effect. For this reason, CBD is used for purely medicinal and holistic purposes, and it shows no effects that indicate a potential dependence or abusive nature. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, there is no evidence to date to show that CBD is associated with any public health-related problems.

CBD is most commonly used to alleviate and reduce anxiety, depression, sleeping disorders, and chronic pain. It has also been proven to be especially effective at treating epilepsy conditions and conditions that can cause muscle stiffness or spasms. It is ingested through smoking, vaping, eating, drinking, or applying topically.

CBD oil can be taken between 20 – 40 minutes to come into effect, and depending on your dosage, can last for up to 5 hours.

How is CBD oil made?

CBD oil is created by first extracting CBD from (in our case) a hemp plant, and then blending it with a carrier oil which will complement and fortify CBD. Common carrier oils are hemp seed (also an excellent way to use byproducts of hemp) or coconut oil. This will result in CBD oil, which is then usually packaged in a glass bottle with a dropper and sold as a tincture.

There are a number of extraction methods used to create CBD, with perhaps the most popular being the CO2 method. This method often uses closed-loop extractors to draw out CBD efficiently. Using a closed-loop extractor helps to keep CBD especially pure, as the CBD will never contact outside air. Other methods of extraction include the ancient oil extraction method and liquid distillation.

All of our CBD oils come from organic, carefully treated, and maintained hemp plants and we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to improve standards of CBD oil creation for the highest-quality CBD oil that is at the forefront of the market.

Does CBD Oil work?

Simply put, yes. CBD oil has had plenty of research to show that it effectively provides relief from several conditions and disorders, with particular advantages to chronic pain, muscle spasms, depression, anxiety, and muscle stiffness. But is CBD oil effective? The benefits that CBD oil has to our brains and bodies are scientifically-backed to the point that both CBD and THC are legal in Canada, certain states in America, Jamaica, Uruguay, the Netherlands, and more. And, in all these countries as mentioned above, CBD oil is highly popular as a more homeopathic solution to medicine.

If you take high quality, pure CBD oil, the results will always be better than that of lower quality.

How do you take CBD Oil drops?

When deciding how to take CBD oil, it’s important to first work out your dosage. How much CBD oil you take is entirely dependant on the strength of the oil you buy, and your purpose of taking it.

Once you have determined your dosage, simply fill the dropper in your tincture bottle with the CBD oil. Then administer this oil underneath your tongue and before you swallow, hold it for 30 seconds to 90 seconds. CBD oil has been created to be administered on the soft tissue underneath the tongue.

Does CBD oil have THC?

CBD oil vs. THC is a constant topic that’s important to understand.

Whether or not CBD contains THC is entirely dependant on the plant that it comes from. When extracted from marijuana, CBD tends to contain high levels of THC, resulting in a ‘high’ when taken.

When CBD is extracted from hemp, which is the sister plant to marijuana, it has a much lower THC concentration. The legal requirement for hemp is that it contains 0.3% of THC or less. As all our CBD is extracted from EU regulated hemp, our THC levels are always beneath 0.2%.

Is CBD Oil legal in the UK?

Currently, CBD oil is legal in the UK but it must adhere to two requirements:

1) It does not contain more than 0.2% of THC. THC is classified as a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

2) It must be derived from a strain of hemp that is EU-approved, or it must come from outside the EU.

Where to buy CBD Oil?

On our website, of course! We have it in both 5% and 10% concentration, in bottles of 10 and 30 ml.

It’s important to remember that when it comes to buying CBD oil for any medicinal or holistic purpose, only purchase high-quality, pure CBD oil that can be sourced to the field. All of our CBD oil comes from 100% organically grown hemp plants grown in a pure and organic growth environment in Estonia, and all our hemp and CBD adheres to strict EU regulatory standards for your peace of mind.

Can I travel with CBD oil?

In most European travel cases, CBD oil is fine to carry within the continent if it contains less than 0.2% THC. In some countries such as the UK, CBD oil with more than 0.2% of THC is considered illegal.

Travel to the USA is similar, and travel is allowed here if there is less than 0.3% THC in your CBD oil. However, certain states may have certain regulations. In Canada, all forms of CBD oil are allowed.

Please check with your local airline for any specific regulations that may be in place and research both local and national laws to be on the safe side.

Is CBD oil halal?

For much of the Islam population, CBD oil is considered to be halal because of two reasons.

1) It is an organically produced plant extract.
2) It contains such trace amounts of THC, that it will not create an intoxication effect.

Are CBD oil and hemp oil the same?

Although they are commonly confused, Hemp and CBD oil are two very different products. Not only are they derived in two different ways but they also offer a variety of disparate benefits.

CBD oil vs. hemp oil:

CBD oil comes directly from the hemp plant itself and is called such because CBD is the main active ingredient. A common misconception about CBD oil is that it will produce a high sensation – likened to the plant it comes from. However, CBD itself isn’t a psychoactive substance, it’s THC which produces a high effect, and this is not present in CBD oil or if it is, the amount will often be too little to register.

The main benefits of CBD oil are therapeutic, as it has been known to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, low mood and to help with discomfort and pain. Many people like to use it in conjunction with medical treatment or will turn to it as a natural alternative.

Hemp oil, however, is derived from pressing hemp plant seeds and offers its own set of benefits. Whereas CBD oil is mostly therapeutic, hemp oil offers nutritional benefits and is used in beauty and skincare products as well as food products, it’s even used in more industrial products such as plastics and lubricants. Hemp oil is preferred by those who are looking to improve nutrition for its pleasant walnut-like taste and wealth of fatty acids.

Can CBD oil make you tired?

CBD can be received by different bodies, differently, so the way it is absorbed into your system might affect how active or inactive it makes you feel. While CBD oil will not cause you to feel lethargic, dizzy or impaired, it has been shown to help with sleep disorders and is used by those who struggle to fall asleep. It’s for this reason that many can confuse it as affecting your normal state. However, it is well researched that CBD does not have a sedative effect and will simply aid bodily pain, stress, and discomfort.

Will CBD oil make me sleepy?

Whilst CBD oil has relaxing therapeutic benefits it doesn’t cause drowsiness. A common misconception is that CBD oil behaves in the same way as THC, the element in hemp which causes highness and can make people feel sleepy or dizzy. However, despite CBD being directly derived from the same plant, it does not contain THC and thus, will not have the same adverse effects by impairing cognition or judgment. CBD has been known to make us feel quite the opposite, it is energizing and calming all at the same time – it essentially helps to enhance our natural state without affecting cognition it helps to improve it.

Can CBD oil keep you awake?

If you struggle with your sleep or are concerned about how CBD oil could affect it, the good news is, is that CBD oil will help you get more sleep and better sleep. This is because CBD and THC are two very different things. THC, which is found in cannabis and known for its dizzying effects, is psychoactive, which is very different from CBD, which is not and offers the opposite effect, by actually improving cognition.

Can CBD oil cause insomnia?

People often worry that CBD oil might contribute to poor sleep, even wondering, can CBD oil cause insomnia? This is often because they are confusing CBD with THC, which produces a high effect making it difficult to get to sleep.

One of the main therapeutic features of CBD oil is its ability to activate serotonin receptors in our brains. The ability to improve the reaction of our receptors improves the flow of serotonin, which helps to calm and soothe the whole body. This relaxes us and eases anxiety which enables us to get to sleep much easier.

It’s for this reason that CBD oil is often used to ease symptoms of difficult sleep disorders by treating the anxiety and discomfort often associated with them. CBD oil has been used for REM Behavioural Sleep Disorder and even as a popular extra help for treating severe cases of insomnia.

Is CBD Oil associated with depression?

CBD oil has been associated with depression because of its effect on serotonin receptors. Low serotonin levels are often the cause of depressive episodes, low mood and feelings of anxiety. It’s because of this that CBD oil has been used with success because, while it doesn’t increase the amount of serotonin in your body, it does help to improve your receptors response. Improved receptor response is key to increasing serotonin and soothing the body and the mind.

Research shows that CBD oil can not only have anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects but is also useful in combating stress and low mood as a symptom of stress. Alongside this, is its use as a sleeping aid, where insomnia can also contribute to feelings of depression.
CBD oil has the added benefit of being faster acting than anti-depressants with fewer side effects and is a good option for those seeking an alternative, but is also effective when used in conjunction with prescribed medication.

Can CBD oil cause depression?

If you’re concerned about CBD oil causing symptoms of depression, you shouldn’t worry! CBD oil has been one of the go-to aids for symptoms of anxiety, depression and even improving cognitive functions. Used in conjunction with medical treatment CBD oil is effective in relieving symptoms associated with depression as well as issues that contribute to low moods, such as physical pain, discomfort and stress.
